Premium Cold Process Soap Making Masterclass Basingstoke
Premium Cold Process Soap Making Masterclass
Designed for aspiring soap makers who want to go a little deeper, this expanded masterclass builds confidence through practice. Working through two complete loaves in a single unhurried session, you’ll find your rhythm with the process — and by the time you pour your second loaf, you’ll be doing so with a steadier hand and a growing sense of what you’re capable of.
Guided throughout by Vedia’s ten years of formulation experience, with complimentary pastries, tea and coffee laid on from the moment you arrive.
Your Take-Home: Ten Bars
Two 500g loaves of hand-poured cold process soap — enough to fill your bathroom shelf, or to share as beautifully personalised gifts.
What You Will Make
Loaf One — Natural Colours Your first loaf is scented with our signature custom-blended essential oils and coloured using natural botanicals and clays. You’ll focus on getting comfortable with the process — understanding how soap behaves, blending to trace and pouring with confidence.
Loaf Two — Mica & Swirl Your second loaf steps things up. Working with greater independence, you’ll use vibrant mica pigments and a striking swirl design to create something more decorative and distinctly your own — the same skills that give artisan soap its polished finish.
What You Will Learn
Cold Process Method The full story of cold process soap making — from the science of saponification to how oils and alkali solution transform into something entirely new.
Lye Handling & Safety You’ll learn how to safely work with lye solution and understand the critical role it plays in the saponification process — one of the most important skills you’ll take away from the day.
Trace & Technique How to blend and pour at both light and full trace, and what each stage means for the character of your finished bars.
Natural Colourants How to work with botanicals and clays to achieve beautiful, earthy tones — and how to predict how colour behaves as soap cures.
Mica & Decoration How to use mica pigments and create a swirl design for a more polished, decorative finish.
Curing & Finishing Everything you need to unmould, slice and cure your bars at home for a beautiful, long-lasting lather.

Booking Policies & The Fine Print
To keep our small studio running safely and smoothly, please read through our booking policies before securing your spot.
Age Requirements: Due to the use of lye and hot oils, this workshop is exclusively for participants aged 16 and over. If you have questions about a younger participant attending, please email us at hello@craft-create.co.uk before booking.
Arrival: Please aim to arrive about 5 minutes early so you can grab a hot drink, get settled, and put on your safety gear before we begin. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we will have to start the teaching without you to respect the time of the other participants, and your spot will be considered redeemed.
Minimum Numbers: This workshop requires a minimum of 4 people to go ahead. In the rare event we do not reach that number, we will contact you at least 10 days prior to your class to rearrange a date that suits everyone. If an alternative date cannot be offered, you will receive a full refund.
Cancellations & Rescheduling: If you need to change or cancel your date, please give us at least 10 days' notice so we have time to fill your seat. Without 10 days' notice, or in the event of a no-show, the full workshop fee will be charged as the ingredients and space have already been allocated.
Payment: All bookings must be paid in full upfront to secure your reservation.
Private Events & Gift Vouchers
Private Workshops: We run private soap making workshops for groups of 4 or more, perfect for creative get-togethers. Please email us at hello@craft-create.co.uk to request a private booking.
Gift Vouchers: We offer both digital and physical gift vouchers (please select your preference at checkout). They are valid for exactly 1 year from the date of purchase and can be used for any workshop run directly by Craft & Create. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
