Craft & Create is a working craft studio at Folly Farm — home to upholstery and curtain-making, longarm quilting, soap making, and candle making, all under one roof. If you love a proper hands-on craft space, you’ll feel right at home here.
Spend a relaxed 90 minutes hand-pouring your own candles, guided step-by-step by an expert tutor. No experience needed — just a willingness to get a little wax on your hands.
The Workshop Experience
You’ll learn the proper technique behind a flawless soy wax container candle — the right pouring temperature, how to centre a wick, and how to get a clean, even set. You’ll have our full Signature Collection to choose from, alongside whatever seasonal fragrances are running at the time — from fresh spring and summer scents through to our warmer autumn/winter blends. While your candle sets, you’ll turn to two more projects:
Your own 20cl clear glass candle, poured using your chosen fragrance — blended entirely in-house, unique to Craft & Create — finished with a hand-cast wax flower to sit on top
Four tealights, in the same fragrance
Two hanging room fresheners, hand-decorated with dried botanicals and finished with ribbon
Everything’s provided — wax, fragrance, wicks, tools. Help yourself to fresh croissants and pastries throughout, with tea and coffee on hand.

Booking & Minimum Numbers
We run one workshop a month, kept small and personal. Each date needs a minimum of 6 students to go ahead — if a date doesn’t reach that number, we’ll be in touch to offer a postponement to the next available session with space for everyone.
The Fine Print
To keep our small studio running smoothly, please read through our booking policies before securing your spot.
Age Requirements: Our workshops are designed for adults aged 16 and over. If you would like to bring a younger crafter, please email us at hello@craft-create.co.uk first to discuss whether the session is suitable.
Arrival: Please aim to arrive about 5 minutes before we start so you can grab a hot drink, get settled, and not miss any of the instructions. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will need to begin the workshop without you if there are others in attendance, and your ticket will be considered redeemed.
Minimum Numbers: Workshops require a minimum of 6 people to go ahead. In the rare event we do not reach that number, we will contact you at least 10 days before your class to rearrange a date that suits everyone. If we cannot find an alternative date that works for you, you will receive a full refund.
Cancellations & Rescheduling: If you need to change or cancel your date, please give us at least 10 days' notice so we have time to fill your seat. Without 10 days' notice, or in the event of a no-show, the full workshop fee will be charged as the materials and space have already been allocated. Any decision to offer an alternative arrangement for last-minute cancellations will be at our discretion.
Payment: All bookings must be paid in full upfront to secure your reservation and allow us to order the ingredients.

Private Workshops: We run private workshops for groups of 6 or more, which are perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or team events. Please email us at hello@craft-create.co.uk to request a private booking.
Gift Vouchers: We offer both digital and physical gift vouchers (please select your preference at checkout). They are valid for exactly 1 year from the date of purchase and can be used for any workshop run directly by Craft & Create. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
