Course Overview:
Step into the world of traditional artisan crafting with our beginner-friendly cold process soap making class. Located in our working studio in Basingstoke, this relaxing, hands-on workshop teaches you how to blend, colour, and pour a beautiful batch of natural botanical soap. To make your first soap-making experience completely stress-free, all of your raw ingredients and your lye solution will be perfectly pre-weighed and prepared for you in advance. You simply get to focus on the fun part: creating! Enjoy a highly creative environment complete with lovely pastries, tea, and coffee.
What You Will Make:
You will design and pour one full 500g loaf of natural cold process soap. Once cured and cut at home, this yields 5 chunky, luxurious bars.
What You Will Learn:
• The Chemistry of Soap: Understand how oils and lye transform into soap safely, and learn how to recognise when your batter has reached the perfect "trace" for pouring.
• Creative Blending: Scent and design your pre-weighed master batch using high-quality essential oils, natural botanical colours, and skin-nourishing clays.
• Curing & Finishing: Learn the essential aftercare steps to un-mould, cut, and cure your soap into a long-lasting, gentle bar.

Age Requirements: Due to the use of lye and hot oils, this workshop is exclusively for participants aged 16 and over. If you have questions about a younger participant attending, please email us at hello@craft-create.co.uk before booking.
Arrival: Please aim to arrive about 5 minutes early so you can grab a hot drink, get settled, and put on your safety gear before we begin. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we will have to start the teaching without you to respect the time of the other participants, and your spot will be considered redeemed.
Minimum Numbers: This workshop requires a minimum of 4 people to go ahead. In the rare event we do not reach that number, we will contact you at least 10 days prior to your class to rearrange a date that suits everyone. If an alternative date cannot be offered, you will receive a full refund.
Cancellations & Rescheduling: If you need to change or cancel your date, please give us at least 10 days' notice so we have time to fill your seat. Without 10 days' notice, or in the event of a no-show, the full workshop fee will be charged as the ingredients and space have already been allocated.
Payment: All bookings must be paid in full upfront to secure your reservation.
