The fragrance
Spiced Ginger opens with gingerbread — warm cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, a little molasses-dark, closer to something baking in the oven than a straightforward spice rack. It’s rich without being sweet in an obvious way, more bakehouse than candy.
Beneath that, fresh ginger and green tea run through — the ginger sharper and more alive here than in the gingerbread itself, cut with something grassy and faintly bitter from the tea. It’s the layer that keeps the whole thing from settling into pure dessert territory, giving it a cleaner, more grown-up edge.
And underneath both, warm amber — resinous, a little powdery, lingering longest of the three. It rounds everything off and gives the fragrance somewhere to rest once the initial spice has settled.
This is a fragrance for the coldest evenings. For mulled drinks, and the smell of something baking while it’s dark outside by four.
Made at Craft & Create
Gingerbread leads here, warm and properly spiced rather than sugary. Fresh ginger and green tea cut through it, sharper and cleaner. Amber sits underneath, warm and lingering.
Developed, blended and poured entirely in house at our studio at Folly Farm.
The wax
The wax in every Craft & Create candle is a European plant-based blend — rapeseed and coconut, sustainably sourced, with nothing added that doesn’t need to be there. No paraffin. No soy. No palm. No synthetic fillers.
The vessel
The amber apothecary jar is a considered choice, not an aesthetic one — though it happens to be both. Amber glass filters light in a way that protects fragrance compounds from degradation, keeping the integrity of the scent consistent from the first burn to the last. Designed to be refilled, repurposed, kept.
