The fragrance
Orchard Spice opens with fig bark and oak — green, slightly milky, with a dry woodiness underneath that keeps it from ever turning sweet. It’s an unusual way to start an autumn candle, closer to standing under a fig tree than walking into an orchard, and it’s exactly what gives this one its edge over anything more predictably fruity.
Beneath that, ripe English pear and vanilla soften the woodiness — juicy, rounded, a little creamy. It’s there to take the sharpest edges off the fig without tipping the whole thing into dessert territory.
And running through both, mulled wine — warm spice, a little dark fruit, the kind of note that turns up in the background of a proper autumn evening without ever announcing itself outright.
This is a fragrance for the turn of the season. For orchards past their sweetest point, and the first proper cold evening of the year.

Fig bark and oak is a genuinely unusual note to build a candle around — most fig fragrances lean sweet and green; this one holds onto something drier and more woody instead, closer to standing near the tree than eating the fruit. Pear and vanilla soften it, mulled wine warms it through.
Developed, blended and poured entirely in house at our studio at Folly Farm.
The wax
The wax in every Craft & Create candle is a European plant-based blend — rapeseed and coconut, sustainably sourced, with nothing added that doesn’t need to be there. No paraffin. No soy. No palm. No synthetic fillers.
The vessel
The amber apothecary jar is a considered choice, not an aesthetic one — though it happens to be both. Amber glass filters light in a way that protects fragrance compounds from degradation, keeping the integrity of the scent consistent from the first burn to the last. Designed to be refilled, repurposed, kept.
