Fragrance
It opens with crisp green cucumber, watery and cool, followed almost immediately by a bright wash of mint. Underneath both sits a warm, rounded spice — not sharp here, just enough to stop the coolness feeling thin. It’s the kind of freshness that feels like a window thrown open on the first warm morning of the year — clean, alive, a little startling in the best way.
As the candle settles into its burn, lemongrass rises underneath — the same warm spice as before, but deeper now, more citrus-sharp and grassy, with a rounder, more lingering quality than the bright top layer. It’s the note that gives Open Windows its body, stopping it from staying purely cool and green the whole way through.
This is a fragrance about renewal. About clearing the air — literally and otherwise.

Cucumber is notoriously hard to get right in fragrance — most attempts land somewhere between watery and synthetic. Paired here with a warm spice and a proper hit of mint, it holds its coolness without losing texture, closer to biting into the vegetable itself than a vague “spa” accord.
Lemongrass brings a citrus-sharp, grassy edge you don’t often find outside a kitchen — greener and more textured than a simple citrus note, with that same warm spice threading through it again to tie the two layers together.
Developed, blended and poured entirely in house at our studio at Folly Farm.
The wax
The wax in every Craft & Create candle is a European plant-based blend — rapeseed and coconut, sustainably sourced, with nothing added that doesn’t need to be there. No paraffin. No soy. No palm. No synthetic fillers.
The vessel
The amber apothecary jar is a considered choice, not an aesthetic one — though it happens to be both. Amber glass filters light in a way that protects fragrance compounds from degradation, keeping the integrity of the scent consistent from the first burn to the last. Designed to be refilled, repurposed, kept.
