Advanced Roman Blind Class

Elevate your window treatment skills in our advanced workshop focused on making interlined Roman blinds! This course is designed for those who have completed the lined Roman blind course and are ready to take their skills to the next level. Over the course of three days, you will learn the intricacies of working with additional materials and advanced techniques needed to create beautifully lined and interlined Roman blinds that combine functionality with elegance.

Workshop Summary:

- Advanced Tools and Equipment Overview: Familiarise yourself with specialised tools such as sewing machines, fabric weights, and measuring jigs, along with materials like drapery fabric, interlining, and high-quality blind hardware. Fabrics, tracks and accessories will be supplied by us.

- Precision Measuring and Planning: Learn advanced measuring techniques for determining the dimensions of your Roman blinds, ensuring a perfect fit for your windows while accounting for interlining.

- Cutting Techniques for Interlining: Understand the best practices for cutting both the outer fabric and interlining, focusing on grain direction and proper alignment to enhance the overall structure and appearance of the blinds.

- Sewing Interlined Panels: Gain hands-on experience in attaching the interlining to the main fabric, learning methods to create a clean finish and maintain the integrity of the pleats.

- Creating the Roman Blind Mechanism: Master the process of installing the Roman blind hardware, including advanced techniques for attaching cords and ensuring smooth operation for raising and lowering the blinds.

- Finishing Techniques: Explore advanced hemming methods, including weighted hems and blind hems, to ensure your Roman blinds have a polished and professional finish.

- Installation Guidance: Receive expert advice on how to properly install your finished interlined Roman blinds, focusing on achieving a seamless look in your window space.

- Personalisation and Design Options: Discover ways to customise your interlined Roman blinds with unique fabric combinations, trims, and decorative elements to reflect your personal style and enhance your home decor.

This workshop is structured over three days, providing ample time for in-depth learning and hands-on practice, equipping you with the skills needed to confidently create stunning interlined Roman blinds.

Teas, coffees, refreshments and cakes will be provided. Students will be required to bring their lunch. Classes will run from 10 am until 4 pm.

Please note you will be expected to bring your own domestic machine. Experience in using a domestic machine is a prerequisite to the course.

Attendance & Requirements:
Our workshops are available exclusively for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Please contact us at asabove3@gmail.com to check if a younger participant can attend. It is recommended that participants arrive at the workshop location 5 minutes prior to the start time to allow sufficient time for preparation and relaxation.

Change in Workshop Dates due to insufficient bookings:

If a minimum number of 6 students do not book onto a course we reserve the right to rearrange the workshop date to fit numbers less than 6 onto the one workshop. This will be done at least 10 days prior to a booking and the date will be organised to suit all participants. If an alternative and satisfactory date cannot be offered a full refund will be provided.


Payment and Booking:
All workshop bookings must be paid in full prior to the start of the workshop to secure the reservation.

Cancellation Policy:
In the event of a cancellation, notice must be provided to us no later than 10 days prior to the scheduled workshop date in order to reschedule the booking. If notice is not given within 10 days or if the participant fails to attend the workshop, the full workshop fee will be charged.

A change in the workshop date may be requested with notice given no later than 10 days prior to the scheduled workshop date.

Whilst we will do our best to accommodate change requests, we cannot be guaranteed due to the limited availability of our small space. In the event that a change cannot be accommodated, the original workshop date will be honoured and follow our standard cancellation policy as detailed above.

If a participant is more than 10 minutes late, the workshop will commence and will be considered redeemed.

If last-minute attendance is not possible, please email us at asabove3@gmail.com. Any decision to offer an alternative arrangement will be at our discretion.

Private Workshops:
Private workshops are available for special events and celebrations. To request a private workshop, please contact us at asabove3@gmail.com. Private workshop bookings start at a minimum of 6 attendees.

Gift Vouchers:
Gift vouchers are available for purchase and are redeemable for any of our workshop experiences that are ran directly by us. They are redeemable for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.

Vouchers are available in a digital or physical format. Please make sure to order the correct voucher type at checkout.
Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash value.
