Beginner Headboard Upholstery Class
Beginner Workshop (2 Day)
Introduction:
Join us for a hands-on beginner workshop where you'll learn how to create your very own headboard from scratch! With pre-cut wood and expert guidance, you'll gain practical skills in construction and finishing to make a beautiful addition to your bedroom.
In this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to create a variety of headboards, including a simple design, one featuring fluting and/or a border, or a luxurious deep buttoned style. Our classes cater to everyone, from complete novices to seasoned upholsterers, allowing each participant to progress at their own speed. By the end of the session, you’ll proudly take home a beautifully crafted 3ft single headboard!
What You Will Learn:
- Familiarisation with essential tools and safety practices for woodworking
- Step-by-step assembly process for a basic headboard design
- Techniques for applying wood finishes to enhance appearance
- Simple upholstery methods to add comfort and style to your headboard
- Tips for personalising your headboard with creative touches
- Hands-on experience in measuring and cutting fabric for upholstery
- Guidance on troubleshooting common assembly challenges

Workshop FAQ's & Cancellation Policy
Attendance & Requirements:
Our workshops are available exclusively for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Please contact us at asabove3@gmail.com to check if a younger participant can attend. It is recommended that participants arrive at the workshop location 5 minutes prior to the start time to allow sufficient time for preparation and relaxation.
Change in Workshop Dates due to insufficient bookings:
If a minimum number of 4 students do not book onto a course we reserve the right to rearrange the workshop date to fit numbers less than 6 onto the one workshop. This will be done at least 10 days prior to a booking and the date will be organised to suit all participants. If an alternative and satisfactory date cannot be offered a full refund will be provided.
Payment and Booking:
All workshop bookings must be paid in full prior to the start of the workshop to secure the reservation.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event of a cancellation, notice must be provided to us no later than 10 days prior to the scheduled workshop date in order to reschedule the booking. If notice is not given within 10 days or if the participant fails to attend the workshop, the full workshop fee will be charged.
A change in the workshop date may be requested with notice given no later than 10 days prior to the scheduled workshop date.
Whilst we will do our best to accommodate change requests, we cannot be guaranteed due to the limited availability of our small space. In the event that a change cannot be accommodated, the original workshop date will be honoured and follow our standard cancellation policy as detailed above.
If a participant is more than 10 minutes late, the workshop will commence and will be considered redeemed.
If last-minute attendance is not possible, please email us at asabove3@gmail.com. Any decision to offer an alternative arrangement will be at our discretion.
Private Workshops:
Private workshops are available for special events and celebrations. To request a private workshop, please contact us at asabove3@gmail.com. Private workshop bookings start at a minimum of 6 attendees.
Gift Vouchers:
Gift vouchers are available for purchase and are redeemable for any of our workshop experiences that are ran directly by us. They are redeemable for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
Vouchers are available in a digital or physical format. Please make sure to order the correct voucher type at checkout.
Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash value.
