Craft & Create: The Two-Day Headboard Workshop
Welcome to the studio. I am Celal, and I would love to invite you to our comprehensive, two-day headboard making workshop.
Whether you are a complete novice holding a staple gun for the first time or a seasoned crafter looking to expand your upholstery skills, this hands-on course is designed to let you progress at your own pace. With expert guidance and premium materials, you will learn the complete process of building and upholstering a beautiful piece of statement furniture for your bedroom.
What You Will Make
By the end of our two days together, you will proudly take home a beautifully crafted, bespoke 3ft single headboard.
To ensure you can focus entirely on the art of upholstery and construction, we provide the pre-cut wood and necessary structural materials. You will have the opportunity to choose the style of your piece, ranging from a sleek and simple design, to elegant fluting and borders, or even a luxurious deep-buttoned finish.

What You Will Learn
Over the course of the weekend, I will guide you step-by-step through professional furniture construction. We will cover:
Workshop Fundamentals: Familiarisation with essential upholstery tools, safe woodworking practices, and troubleshooting common assembly challenges.
Structural Assembly: The step-by-step process of building a solid, basic headboard frame from pre-cut wood.
The Art of Upholstery: Hands-on experience in accurately measuring, cutting, and securing your foam and fabric for a flawless, tailored fit.
Advanced Techniques: Learning how to incorporate beautiful design elements like deep buttoning, fluting, or decorative borders to add comfort and style.
Finishing Touches: Techniques for applying professional wood finishes and personalising your piece.
The Details
Duration: 2 Days.
Time: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm (each day). Please select your preferred when booking.
Lunch is for 30 minutes. Bottomless teas and coffees are provided. We was you young bring your own lunch.
Venue: Craft & Create, Unit 8, Folly Farm, Kingsclere Road, Basingstoke, Hants, RG26 5GJ.
Booking Policies & The Fine Print
To keep our small studio running smoothly, please read through our booking policies before securing your spot.
Age Requirements: Our upholstery workshops are designed for adults aged 18 and over. If you would like to inquire about a younger participant attending, please email us at hello@craft-create.com before booking.
Arrival: Please aim to arrive about 5 minutes early so you can get settled before we begin. If you are more than 10 minutes late, the workshop will commence without you to respect the time of the other participants, and your ticket will be considered redeemed.
Minimum Numbers: This workshop requires a minimum of 4 people to go ahead. In the rare event we do not reach that number, we will contact you at least 10 days before your class to rearrange a date that suits everyone. If an alternative date cannot be offered, you will receive a full refund.
Cancellations & Rescheduling: If you need to change or cancel your date, please give us at least 10 days' notice so we have time to fill your seat. Without 10 days' notice, or in the event of a no-show, the full workshop fee will be charged as the materials and space have already been allocated.
Payment: All bookings must be paid in full upfront to secure your reservation and allow us to prepare your frame and materials.
Private Events & Gift Vouchers
Private Workshops: We run private upholstery workshops for groups, which are wonderful for special events and creative team building. Bookings start at a minimum of 4 attendees. Please email us at hello@craft-create.co.uk to request a private date.
Gift Vouchers: We offer both digital and physical gift vouchers (please select your preference at checkout). They are valid for exactly 1 year from the date of purchase and can be used for any workshop run directly by us. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
