The Amber Hour
Chapter IV: The Wintering
The Fragrance Story
The Amber Hour is a sensory portrait of the workshop at twilight. It captures that brief, golden window in mid-winter when the low sun hits the seasoned timber of the workbench, and the day’s labor shifts into the evening’s rest. This is a "velvet" wood fragrance—a sophisticated study of the materials that anchor the heritage home: the creamy, dense aroma of sandalwood and the sharp, medicinal heat of whole cloves.
The fragrance is defined by a heart of Mysore sandalwood and earthy patchouli, grounded by a warming base of crushed clove buds and a touch of golden amber. To achieve our signature realism, every batch is finished with our signature Botanical Blend—a proprietary infusion of raw spice barks and wood resins added at our family workshop bench. This final addition provides a "glowing" depth that mimics the realism of a sun-warmed workspace, creating a scent that feels steady, protective, and profoundly comforting.
The Heritage Craft
Housed in our signature 250ml Silver Preservation Tin, The Amber Hour is a piece of functional workshop hardware. We chose this traditional ‘Lever Lid’ vessel for its airtight seal; it acts as a vault for our Botanical Blends, ensuring the finer, complex spiced notes remain as potent as the day they were poured.
Every tin is a labour of patience. We hand-pour our bespoke Coconut and Soy wax in small, intentional batches at our family workshop. Each is finished with a textured cream label, raw jute twine, and our signature metallic bronze C&C seal.
The Ritual & Profile
• The Sensation: Creamy, Spiced, and Enveloping.
• The Experience: The 4:00 PM winter sun hitting a workshop bench filled with resins.
• The Mood: Steady, Protective, and Restorative.
• The Fragrance Notes: Sandalwood, Clove, Patchouli, and Amber.
